The second-hand marketplace Users Share Anger Regarding Size Modifications
Shoppers are voicing their frustration after an update resulted in listings displaying inaccurate size information.
The popular resale platform has updated its sizing categories for women's and children's garments failing to inform all users about the change.
Online Platforms Response
Numerous buyers and vendors are posting online claiming that product pages now present a modified sizing category versus the original listing due to the recalibration.
Vinted explained the new system was more in line with similar services.
They have suggested members to examine their items and adjust the sizing manually if necessary, resulting in member annoyance.
Size Classification Modifications
Previously, the sizing featured a single numeric size and a letter, such as S/8 or M/10.
The revised method features a letter with a size spectrum for example S/UK 8-10.
With some products, the size labels have been reassigned - for example a size L was previously a 12 but is now a UK 16-18.

A fashion influencer, who creates plus-size fashion videos, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult".
"Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," as the platform currently indicates.
Another user, located in Scotland, stated items she posted featuring size 14 markings were appearing on the platform as size 20–22.
"Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they're going to be very disappointed," she said.
Manual Updates
Charlotte Lunn, from Derby, explained she became annoyed because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizes on "every single listing".
"For me this is particularly frustrating, because of my ongoing medical condition and Vinted sales have been crucial after experiencing income reduction," she said.
Service Background
The app has more than 100 million shoppers, including 18 million in the UK.
It has proved a popular alternative to second-hand platforms like eBay and Depop.
This is not the initial instance when a surprising modification to the app has proved unpopular: previously, Vinted reversed a change regarding delivery choices following member complaints.
